Hand paste
Hand cleaning paste is made for heavily soiled hands in the workplace: it removes grease, oil, paint, adhesives, soot, and other substances that regular soap cannot handle. Formulas use natural abrasive particles that clean effectively without damaging the skin. The paste is applied to dry hands, rubbed for 30 seconds, and rinsed with water. Used in auto workshops, factories, construction sites, and repair shops.

Hand cleaning paste: industrial hand cleaners for heavy-duty dirt
Hand cleaning paste is a specialised hand washing product designed to remove stubborn industrial contaminants — grease, paint, resins, adhesives, ink, and graphite. Regular liquid soap cannot handle these substances, so manufacturing plants, auto repair shops, and construction sites rely on hand paste as their primary hand hygiene product.
How hand cleaning paste works
Hand paste works through a combination of abrasives and surfactants. Fine abrasive particles (typically pumice, wood flour, or polyethylene granules) mechanically remove dirt from skin creases and around the nails. Surfactants emulsify fats and mineral oils so they rinse off with water.
Better formulas include skin protection ingredients — glycerine, lanolin, or aloe vera extract. This matters because production workers wash their hands 5,10 times per shift. Without protective ingredients, skin cracks quickly, and cracked skin is an open door to infections.
Types of hand cleaning paste
- Natural abrasives. pumice or wood flour. Gentler on skin, suited for daily use. Recommended for auto repair shops and light industry
- Synthetic abrasives. polyethylene granules. Stronger cleaning action for heavy contaminants. Used in metallurgy and the chemical industry and Abrasive-free (gel type). solvent-based formula. Designed for extremely resistant substances: epoxy resins, polyurethane foam, industrial adhesives
Dispensing and storage
Hand paste comes in 250,500 ml tubes for individual use and 3,10 litre buckets for wall-mounted dispensers. A wall-mounted dispenser with an elbow or pedal mechanism is the most hygienic option , workers do not put grease-covered hands on the container.
Store hand paste in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Properly stored paste retains its properties for 24,36 months.
Correct hand cleaning procedure
Many workers use hand paste incorrectly , too much or too little. The proper method: wet your hands, squeeze out 3,5 ml of paste, rub for 20,30 seconds (paying attention to nails and between fingers), rinse with warm water. Do not use hot water , it opens pores and lets chemicals penetrate deeper.
After using hand paste, apply a protective hand cream to restore the skin barrier. This is especially important during cold months.
