Couch rolls
Sanitary couch covers (examination table paper) are disposable paper rolls used on examination beds in medical offices, massage salons, beauty treatment rooms, and SPA centres. They maintain hygiene between patients or clients without the need to launder fabric covers. Standard roll width of 60 cm fits most couches. Paper is perforated every 35–40 cm for easy tearing.

Sanitary covers: disposable protection for procedures and examinations
Sanitary covers are disposable paper or non-woven sheets used during medical, beauty, and massage procedures. They cover procedure tables, couches, and chairs, maintain hygiene standards, and protect surfaces from body fluids, creams, and disinfectants. This is an important hygiene paper category for the medical and beauty sector.
Sanitary covers are used in these settings.
In doctor's offices and clinics — for patient examinations. Each patient gets a clean cover, keeping contamination risk between visits minimal. In beauty salons and SPA centres, covers protect massage tables, cosmetology couches, and pedicure chairs.
Veterinary clinics, physiotherapy offices, and sports medicine centres also use disposable covers as a daily standard.
Types of sanitary covers
- Paper rolls for procedure tables. the most common format. Rolls with 50-100 metres of paper attach to the table end and are torn off as needed
- Two-layer laminated (paper + PE film). the top layer absorbs moisture while the bottom layer prevents liquids from reaching the surface. Essential where fluids or creams are used
- Non-woven covers. softer and more durable than paper, do not tear when wet. Suited for premium services
- Individually packed sheets. convenient when a precise size is needed without cutting. Used in cosmetology and SPA
Choosing the right cover depends on the application.
Simple examinations , a single-layer paper cover is sufficient. Procedures with liquids (oil massage, cosmetology treatments) , choose laminated covers with PE protection. Surgical procedures and intensive use , non-woven covers are the most durable option.
Width should match your table or couch dimensions , standard widths are 50 cm and 60 cm.
Cost efficiency and supply
The cost per procedure with a sanitary cover is counted in cents, while the benefit is protection from more expensive surface cleaning or replacement. Buying by the roll and in bulk packaging lowers the per-unit price.
Sanitary covers are part of procedural hygiene. Pair them with hand sanitiser, soap, and disinfectant cleaners for surfaces. In washrooms, use toilet paper with a toilet paper holder, and for hands , folded hand towels or paper towel rolls. Industrial paper rolls handle bigger spills.
